GOD'S LAWS

GOD'S LAWS

Individuals disregarding and breaking the laws of God. But God will prepare us against the wickedness.

Some items from scriptures which describe the situation in todays world.

(Moroni 9:8-11) - Describes how these rulers deprive women of chastity and virtue and torture them. They are without civilization and full of abominations.

(Alma 11:20) - Now, it was for the sole purpose to get gain, because they received their wages according to their employ. Therefore, they did stir up the people to riotings, and all manner of disturbances, ... that they might have more employ, that they might get money according to the suits which were brought before them; therefore they did stir up the people...

(Helaman 7:4-5) - Having usurped the power and authority of the land; laying aside the commandments of God, and not in the least aright before him; doing no justice unto the children of men. Condemning the righteous because of their righteousness; letting the guilty and the wicked go unpunished because of their money; and moreover to be held in office at the head of government, to rule and do according to their wills, that they might get gain and glory of the world, and, moreover, that they might the more easily commit adultery, and steal, and kill, and do according to their own wills.

These items from scriptures, seem to describe things in present times. What they forget is that the intelligent use of agency requires knowledge of the truth, of things as they really are. Whatever stresses and challenges may come in a wicked society, and the individuals who claim authority above God.

Obedience Fath

Promptings of spirit - Obedience - Faith

(Helaman 7:4) - Having usurped the power and authority of the land; laying aside the commandmnets of God, and not in the least aright before him; doing no justice unto the children of men.

(Helaman 7:5) - Condemning the righteous because of their righteousness; letting the guilty and the wicked go unpunished because of their money; and moreover to be held in office at the head of government, to rule and do according to their wills, that they might get gain and glory of the world, and, moreover, that they might the more easily commit adultery, and steal, and kill, and do according to their own wills.

(Be strong in the lord, Ensign July 2004 p10) - Every honest and sincere prayer adds another piece to chain-mail armor ... One of the most important ways to clothe yourselves in the armor of God is to make sure that payer - earnest, sincere, consistent prayer - is part of your daily lives.

Then the spirit of God would be felt in our midst, and that which we would decide upon would be the mind and will of God, because God would reveal it to us. We would see light in the direction where we should go, and we would behold darkness in the direction we should not go.

(1 Nephi 17:13) - And I will also be your light in the wilderness; and I will prepare the way before you. If it so be that ye shall keep my commandments; wherefore, inasmuch as ye shall keep my commandments ye shall be led towards the promised land; and ye shall know that it is by me that ye are led.

If we will walk in obedience to the commandments of God, he will open a way, even where there appears to be no way. The lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them.

Be thankful BY keeping the commandemnts and being obedient. Pay 10% tithing...

(D&C 136:27) - Thou shalt be diligent in preserving what thou hast, that thou mayest be a wise steward; for it is the free gift of the lord thy God, and thou art his steward.

(D&C 121:26) - God shall give unto you knowledge by his holy spirit, yea, by the unspeakable gift of the holy ghost, that has not been revealed since the world was until now.

(Ether 2:12) - Behold, this is a choice land, and whatsoever nation shall possess it shall be free from bondage, and from captivity, and from all other nations under heaven. If they will but serve the God of the land, who is Jesus Christ, who hath been manifested by the things which we have written.

(Holy bible exodus 23:25) - And ye shall serve the lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread and thy water and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

(Mosiah 4:21) - And now, if God, who has created you, on whom you are dependent for your lives and for all that ye have and are, doth grant unto you whatsoever ye ask that is right, in faith, beleiving that ye shall receive, O then, how ye ought to impart of the substance that ye have one to another.

(1 Nephi 13:5) - And the angel said unto me; Behold the formation of a church which is most abominable above all other churches, which slayeth the saints of God, yea, and tortereth them and bind them down, and yoketh them with a yoke of iron, and bringeth them down into captivity.

(1 Nephi 13:6) - And it came to pass that I behld this great and abominable church; and I saw the devil that he was the founder of it.

(1 Nephi 13:9) - And also for the praise of the world do they destroy the saints of God, and bring them down into captivity.

(Helaman 5:12) - And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our redeemer, who is Christ, the son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all hjis hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to frag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.

(Helaman 14: 12-13) - And also that ye might know of the coming of Jesus Christ, the son of God, the father of heaven and of earth, the creator of all things from the begining; and that ye might know of the signs of his coming, to the intent that ye might beleive on his name. And if ye beleive on his name ye will repent of all your sins, that thereby ye may have a remission of them through his merits.
